After breakfast, visit Old Delhi with Jamma Masjid, the largest mosque in India, from where you can see the ramparts of the Red Fort (outside) and then visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, a visit to the magnificent archaeological complex of the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a visit to the Lotus Temple, a beautiful monument that represents the Bahai faith in India. Breakfast. Transfer to Jaipur and on the way, optional lunch at an authentic maharajah’s palace. Arrival and check-in at the hotel in Jaipur. Free time for shopping in the Pink City, famous for its jewelry, textiles, handicrafts, carpets, etc. In the late afternoon, visit of a Hindu temple to attend the Aarti ceremony. After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Jaipur with stop for photographing the facade of the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). Breakfast. Before arriving in Agra, stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, a World Heritage Site. Built in the 16th century to commemorate the birth of the son of the Mughal emperor Akbar, the “ghost” city was inhabited for only twenty years and subsequently abandoned. Arrival, check-in and overnight at the hotel in Agra.
Breakfast. Visit Agra, the former capital of the Mughal Empire with the magnificent Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Then return to Delhi. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.

Breakfast. Full day of leisure in Rishikesh to visit the charming little town, the yoga capital of the world. We suggest starting the day with a yoga session and in the afternoon, try a traditional Ayurvedic massage or a meditation class. For the more adventurous, there is a possibility of rafting on the clear waters of the Ganges River. Overnight at the hotel in Rishikesh.

A tourist visa is required for India and Nepal. You can apply for the E-Visa to travel to India through the official web page of the Indian Government: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html (beware of fraudulent sites that mimic the official page). However, you must apply for a visa in advance before travelling to India. The 30-day visa is a double entry visa, i.e. you can enter India twice during the validity period of your visa (maybe you want to visit a neighbouring country and then return to India). It is much cheaper than a traditional visa. Once you have obtained the e-visa, it is advisable to have a medical travel insurance to enter India. The tourist visa for Nepal is valid 15 days and can be obtained on arrival at the airport in Kathmandu. It costs USD 25, payable in US dollars or in euro, one photo is required.

In India, the best way to communicate with your country is to use wi-fi, generally available and free in most of the hotels. To use your cell phone, just buy a local sim card. The most important operators are Airtel, Idea and Vodafone and the minimum cost of a simcard is around INR 150. You need to submit a photocopy of your passport and of your Indian visa, give a photograph and fill out a form.

Objects of marble with inlays of semi-precious stones such as the Taj Mahal (Agra), sarees and silk handkerchiefs (Varanasi), gold, silver jewelry and precious stones (Jaipur), pashmina shawls and scarves (Kashmir), fabrics and cotton clothes, salwar-kameez (tunic pants), incense, sculptures, objects in copper, brass, and more.
The most widely spoken languages in India are English, used in the federal administration and Hindi, the main Northern language, spoken by 40% of the Indian population. In Nepal, the official language is Nepali, derived from Sanskrit.
Indian food is not always spicy, but contains spices. Hotels serve buffet with international dishes. Avoid raw salads, unpeeled fruits and street food. It is recommended to drink mineral water always in sealed bottles. The cuisine of Northern India is characterized by dishes baked in the tandoor oven (charcoal), chicken or lamb, but also paneer (cheese). Everyday you will find dal (lentils), chapati or nan (bread), pulao or biryani (rice with spices) and a multitude of vegetarian dishes with different types of masala (curry). Lassi is a yoghurt-based drink that can be served with salt or sugar, as it is the refreshing lime soda (lemon juice and soda). In South India, food is essentially vegetarian (except in Goa), more spicy and with a huge variety of tropical fruits.
